Calgary non-market housing struggles to meet the need
After having their lease terminated in the summer of 2023, Nicole and Ryan Stoneman scrambled to find a three-bedroom rental in Calgary’s tight rental market.
With four children in tow, including a nine-month-old baby, “we probably replied to over 100 rental ads, and we might have looked at 10 of those,” Mr. Stoneman says, noting that few units accepted larger families, and even fewer were within their budget.
