Garry Bhaura officially takes the helm at CREA

Garry Bhaura is officially the new chair of the Canadian Real Estate Association, installed in the role during the organization’s annual general meeting Tuesday.

Bhaura, a broker-owner from Brampton, Ont., has more than 25 years of experience in real estate. He previously served as president of the Toronto Regional Real Estate Board from 2018 to 2019 and has been involved in various TRREB and CREA committees over the years. He is also a recipient of the Community Service Award from the Real Estate Institute of Canada.

Bhaura is joined by Chair-Elect Darin Germyn, Vice-Chair Luc Woolsey and Immediate Past Chair Valérie Paquin.

Rounding out the 2026-2027 board are regional directors Anthony Bastiaanssen (British Columbia/Yukon), Jennifer Lucas (Alberta/Northwest Territories), Kourosh Doustshenas (Manitoba), Avril Reifferscheid (Saskatchewan), Winson Chan (Ontario), Daniel Dagenais (Quebec), Chris Peters (Atlantic) and Linnea Vandenberghe (Atlantic), along with directors-at-large Raymond Chan, David Oikle, David Brown and Paul Czan.
