Around the King Edward SkyTrain station on Vancouver’s west side, new six-storey residential buildings have popped up along the major streets. On the side streets, a block over, tasteful new townhouses sit among older detached houses on 50-foot lots.
Cambie and King Edward streets are wide boulevards with green medians that separate traffic lanes. Improvements that were part of the Cambie Corridor plan resulted in new trees, wider sidewalks, habitat biodiversity, open green spaces and lovely upgraded cycling paths.
