Some agents turn to a patron saint amid real estate downturn

During the global financial crisis and real estate downturn of 2008, the run on statues of St. Joseph was so frenetic that retail shelves were emptied.
“Literally, in 2008 you could not buy a St. Joseph’s statue, recalls Patrick Rocca, broker with Bosley Real Estate, of the patron saint of real estate. “People were doing anything, including burying statues in their lawn.”
