Toronto Real Estate Meetup kicks off the month
The Canadian Real Estate Investor Podcast is hosting its Toronto Meetup on Tue., May 12 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Madison Avenue Pub near Bloor and Spadina.
The informal evening is open to all experience levels and will bring together agents, investors and entrepreneurs for networking and discussion on topics including mortgages, property management and investment strategies. The event is sponsored by Sherwin-Williams.
TRREB Realtor Quest returns with Michelle Obama as keynote
Canada’s largest real estate conference and trade show is back for its 19th year.
TRREB Realtor Quest 2026 takes place Wed., May 13 and Thurs., May 14 at the Toronto Congress Centre, under the theme Beyond Business: Igniting Real Connections.
This year’s headline speaker is Michelle Obama, former first lady of the United States, bestselling author and advocate for leadership and community.
The two-day event will also feature Canadian speakers Darci Lang and Rebecca Mountain. Lang, a member of the Speaking Hall of Fame, will present Lead the 90%, focused on acceptance, compassion and leadership. Mountain, a bestselling author and keynote speaker, will offer tools for building confidence and turning knowledge into action.
Beyond the keynote stage, attendees can expect an expanded trade show floor, practical learning sessions and networking opportunities with peers and industry leaders from across the country.

Edmonton Real Estate Forum convenes May 13
The Edmonton Real Estate Forum returns Wed., May 13 at the Edmonton Convention Centre, bringing together senior commercial real estate executives, developers, lenders and civic leaders for a full day of market intelligence and networking.
The program opens with an economic outlook presentation from Michael Gregory, deputy chief economist and managing director at BMO Capital Markets, covering GDP growth, employment, interest rates, immigration and Alberta’s fiscal trajectory. A keynote fireside chat will follow, featuring Edmonton Mayor Andrew Knack and Doug Griffiths, president and CEO of the Edmonton Chamber of Commerce.
Sessions throughout the day will cover the industrial, office and retail sectors, climate risk and commercial real estate, development and redevelopment activity, and lending market conditions. A closing roundtable of senior executives will address Edmonton’s investment outlook for the next 12 to 18 months.

OREA launches affordable regional summit series, starting in Windsor
The Ontario Real Estate Association (OREA) has launched Re-Connect, a new series of one-day regional conferences designed to bring professional development and networking closer to home for Realtors across the province.
The first summit takes place Thurs., May 21 at the Caesar Windsor Hotel in Windsor, Ont. Topics will span personal branding, business growth and AI in real estate. Tickets are $99 and include breakfast and lunch.
Additional summits are planned later in 2026 in Sudbury and Kingston.

Queen Bee summit brings together female founders in Toronto
An intimate gathering for women entrepreneurs is coming to west Toronto later this month.
The Queen Bee Female Founders Network summit takes place Thursday, May 28 from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Edenbridge on the Kingsway in Etobicoke, presented by The Buzz Conference in collaboration with Tridel. The event is limited to 100 seats.
Coming in June: AI Meets Real Estate comes to Kitchener

Following a sold-out 2025 event, AI Meets Real Estate returns Thurs., June 4 at Catalyst Commons in Kitchener, Ont., from 1 to 5 p.m.
The afternoon is designed for real estate professionals, mortgage brokers, builders and tech operators looking to understand how artificial intelligence is reshaping sales, marketing, client experience and lending. The event is capped at 150 attendees.
Featured speakers include REM Publisher Andrew Fogliato, Valery CRO and REM columnist Daniel Foch, Carrie Soave, Tom Storey, Ron Butler, Tracy Valko, among others.
