What’s on in July: Events for Canadian real estate professionals

by REM Editorial Team

July is shaping up to be a quiet one on the events calendar, as it often is once summer settles in. Still, there’s a can’t-miss for those looking to combine networking with a good cause, plus a virtual session for brokerage leaders. We’re also looking ahead to a splashy A.I.-focused event landing in Niagara Falls next month.

Have an event to share? Email us at editor@realestatemagazine.ca and we’ll do our best to include it in a future roundup. Are we missing something this month? Send us a note and we’ll update this article.

REM sets sail with ORCF’s Summer Cruise for Charity

The Ontario Realtors Care Foundation (ORCF) hosts its inaugural Summer Cruise for Charity on Thurs., July 16 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Toronto’s waterfront.

The three-hour cruise brings together Realtors, industry leaders and partners from across the Greater Toronto Area for a casual afternoon of networking against the backdrop of the city’s skyline, with music, an industry showcase and a silent auction rounding out the day. Proceeds support shelter-related causes and food insecurity initiatives across Ontario.

REM publisher Andrew Fogliato and editor Jordana Springgay will be aboard.

Tickets and details available here.

REM Mastermind turns to agent retention

The next REM Mastermind Series session, The Retention Playbook: What’s Working for Top Brokerages Right Now, takes place virtually on Wed., July 29 at 2 p.m. ET.

Aimed at broker owners, managers and team leaders, the session will unpack what’s actually keeping agents in seats at top-performing brokerages. Panelists are to be announced; the discussion will be moderated by Fogliato. Remax is the official sponsor.

Billed as “the greatest show in real estate,” Project 42 takes over the Greg Frewin Theatrical Centre in Niagara Falls, Ont. on Aug. 10 and 11 for a two-day event built around A.I. agentic workflows for agents.

The event is co-hosted by Carrie Soave, founder of The A.I. Solution for Realtors, and Nick Krem, founder of the Krem Institute of Artificial Intelligence. Day one features 11 real estate operators sharing the A.I. workflows behind their businesses; day two, for VIP ticket holders, is a hands-on build session culminating in a $1,000 prize for best agent build. Live humanoid robots will also appear on stage.

Ticket tiers range from $97 to $1,200 CAD. Tickets and more details can be found here.
