Unpacking Multiplexes comes to Edmonton

The Canadian Real Estate Investor Podcast is bringing its Unpacking Multiplexes event to Edmonton’s Fringe Theatre on Thurs., June 11 from 6 to 9 p.m. Doors open at 5 p.m.

After two sold-out years in Toronto, the event covers the financing strategies, zoning considerations and construction realities behind multiplex development. Expert panels will be followed by a networking mixer.

Speakers include Aled ab Iorwerth, deputy chief economist at CMHC; Josh Findlay, managing partner at BLD Financial; Lyla Peter, director of development approvals and inspections at the City of Edmonton; Niraj Nath, president of NDURA Developments; Mauricio Ochoa, president of IDEA; and Daniel Foch, chief real estate officer at Valery. CREA AE Seminar convenes in Edmonton

The Canadian Real Estate Association’s Association Executives Network (AEN) Seminar takes place Mon., June 8 through Wed., June 10 at the Westin Edmonton.

The annual event brings together more than 120 senior leaders from real estate boards and associations across Canada for professional development.

AI Meets Real Estate returns to Kitchener

Following a sold-out 2025 event, AI Meets Real Estate returns Thurs., June 4 at Catalyst 137 in Kitchener, Ont., from 1 to 5 p.m. Attendance is capped at 150.

The afternoon focuses on how artificial intelligence is reshaping real estate sales, marketing, client experience and lending. Speakers include Carrie Soave, Tom Storey, Ron Butler, Daniel Foch, Tracy Valko and REM publisher Andrew Fogliato, among others.

Buzz Calgary returns with full-day conference

Buzz Calgary: Amplify 2026 takes place Thur., June 18 at the Carriage House Hotel and Conference Centre in Calgary, running from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with a networking cocktail hour from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. Continental breakfast is included; doors open at 7:30 a.m.

The event recognizes top performers, brokerages and proptech innovators across the Calgary and Alberta markets. Keynote speakers include Don Inouye, CEO of the Real Estate Institute of Canada, and performance strategist Mary-Anne Gillespie.

A pre-conference networking event is planned for June 17 for registered attendees; details to be announced.

Connect CRE Canada convenes in Toronto

Connect CRE Canada 2026 takes place Thursday, June 25 at Deloitte’s Toronto offices at 8 Adelaide St. W., from 1 to 6 p.m.

The afternoon brings together more than 250 senior commercial real estate decision-makers for panels on multifamily and homebuilding, institutional capital deployment, and middle-market investment and development. A networking cocktail reception closes the event.

Confirmed speakers include Peter Altobelli, vice-president and general manager at Yardi Canada; Colin Lynch, managing director of private markets at TD Asset Management; Howard Paskowitz, senior vice-president of development and public affairs at Starlight Investments; and Damon Conrad, vice-president of commercial at Remax Canada, among others.
