The largest real estate board in Canada is proposing reforms to its governing bylaws that could potentially weaken member control over decision making, including control over raising fees and other dues.

The Toronto Regional Real Estate Board (TRREB) will host its spring annual general meeting. Amid the keynote speeches, from U.S. political commentator Van Jones and Miami musician Pitbull, the members of the 105-year-old not-for-profit corporation will be asked to vote for a wholesale replacement of its governing bylaws in the name of modernization, according to videos and pitches that were sent out in April.
